The body is alder.
Based on the serial number, other parts, and specifications, we determined it to be a 1971-74 Fender.
The neck is maple and the fingerboard is ebony.
The distinctive ebony fingerboard with its pronounced flange, characteristic of Moon, is a distinctive feature.
The pickups are original gray bobbins.
The pots are CTS, and the pot dates indicate a 1983-84 production.
It is likely that the neck was replaced around this time as well.
The bridge has been replaced with a HIPSHOT B-style Bass Bridge.
The impression is one of a combination of the nuances of a Fender Jazz Bass and the smooth, speedy sound that's characteristic of a Moon.
You'll understand its quality when you actually play it.
