Fender is, without a doubt, the number one brand for electric guitars and basses.
It is loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass debuted in 1951 as the world’s first solid-body electric bass with frets, and has been beloved by bassists around the world for over half a century.
Although the Fender Japan brand has since been discontinued, there are still many artists who use it today, and its high quality continues to be widely recognized.
This model is the PB57, a faithful reproduction of the 1957 Precision Bass style.
Based on the specifications listed in the catalogs of that era, we have identified it as the PB57-53.
The body is made of basswood.
The neck and fingerboard are one-piece maple.
It features the characteristic thick low end and open midrange that define the Precision Bass.
With its timeless standard specifications, it fits seamlessly into any genre, including R&B, rock, and pop.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows slight signs of bowing, but it plays perfectly fine after adjustment to a string action of 2.2mm on the G string and 2.7mm on the E string at the 12th fret.
The body and finish show numerous dents and scratches, with a few areas where the paint is chipped.
The electronics are in good condition.
The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS model.
