Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass was introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass and has been beloved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.
This model is the signature model of Duff McKagan, bassist for the hard rock band Guns N' Roses.
It's based on PJ's style, with some unique touches.
The body features a classic alder body and rosewood fingerboard.
The neck is maple with a black gloss finish.
The neck pickup is Fender's original split-coil pickup, and the bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan STKJ2B Jazz Bass.
The tuning machine for the fourth string is a HIPSHOT Xtender, also known as a D tuner.
Down-tuning produces a loud sound.
The Precision Bass's characteristically deep low range and open midrange are appealing.
Adding the bridge pickup adds a crispness reminiscent of a jazz bass.
Even with the bridge pickup, the sound isn't overly sharp, maintaining a powerful texture that's distinctive.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in poor condition and has some high-rise issues. The current settings are 2.0, 2.1, 2.3, and 2.5mm at the 12th fret, according to GIB standards. With this string height, there is a buzzing and choking sound when pressing the second string at the 15th to 19th frets. To completely eliminate the buzzing, the second string needs to be raised to 2.5mm. Please let us know if you would like this service.
The body and finish show scratches on the pickguard. There are small paint cracks on the back of the body near the endpin.
The electrical system is in good condition.
All knobs have been replaced.
