This model is a replica based on the 1960 Jazz Bass specification.
Manufactured in 2020.
The body is Alder, the neck is Maple – a classic wood combination.
True to the 1960 specification, the fingerboard uses slab-cut Rosewood.
The pickups are the familiar Custom Shop hand-wound type.
The controls feature the iconic stacked knob design.
The sound combines a rich, substantial low end with sharp, beautiful highs – truly the gold standard.
The weighty bass response is quintessential to a slab fingerboard.
This is a masterpiece every bassist should try at least once in their career.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck exhibits a slight high bow. However, it is playable with no issues after adjusting the string height at the 12th fret to 2.0mm for the G string and 2.5mm for the E string.
The body and finish show scratches and dents. Due to the relic finish, it is impossible to determine if these are post-production marks.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
