Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence to this day.
This is a 5-string JB from the American Series, the successor to the American Standard.
Manufactured in 2003.
It features a headstock with five tuning machines, a feature that has become extremely popular recently.
The body is alder and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups are original.
The neck-side pickup volume control has a built-in S1 switch, allowing you to change the pickup connection to series.
This creates a distinctive sound with a louder volume and a stronger midrange.
The capacitors have been replaced with HUMPBACK ENGINEERING HANDMADE PAPER IN OIL CAP -BLACK-.
The sound is well-balanced and refined.
Yet it still has the powerful texture that you'd expect from Fender.
It's extremely easy to use in an ensemble, and it's easy to see why it's so commonly used by professional musicians.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is fully tightened.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paint show signs of use, with scattered dents and scratches. There is some play in the metal bushing in the back-through section. It doesn't appear to be removable at this time.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The capacitors have been replaced with HUMPBACK ENGINEERING HANDMADE PAPER IN OIL CAP -BLACK-. There was a problem with part of the circuit, which was fixed by GIB.
