Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Fender is the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
Loved by countless top artists including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee, and more.
Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and even today it continues to enjoy overwhelming support, giving off a shining presence.
This is a Jazz Bass manufactured in 1974.
We make a comprehensive judgment based on the serial, logo, PU, etc.
Popular specs include Alder body and Rosewood fingerboard.
The pot date is made by CTS and is 137-7343.
The capacitors are ITW and probably original.
The jack is made by Switchcraft and looks original too.
The pickups are gray bobbins and are definitely original.
The pickup date is 181874 on the neck side, and although I can't see it well on the bridge side, it looks like 189874.
The pickup has a curvature.
I think you can tell at a glance that this is due to aging.
Whether this is cool or not depends on the person.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works well.
The condition of the neck shows symptoms of a high. Currently, it can be played without any problems by adjusting the string height to 2.5 to 3.0 mm on 12F. The 1st string peg plate protrudes a little from the head.
The condition of the body and paint surface shows dents, scratches, and weather checks. The pickguard is partially curved and raised. (Clearance is narrow when pulling the slap.)
The electrical system is in good condition.
I believe the nut is original because there is some old paint left on the side of the nut. The frets are shaved evenly, and the top surface of the nut is scraped, so it seems that they have been ground together.
Controls: Neck PU volume, Bridge PU volume, Master tone
Nut width: 38.2mm
Bridge string pitch: 19.0mm
Scale: 34Inch
Year of manufacture: 1974
Country of manufacture: USA
Accessories: Fender hard case, aftermarket strap, 2 shields
When setting up, we use Stringjoy, which we import and sell at our store.
Made in Nashville, the Stringjoy has a silky feel, plenty of low end, and rich, natural overtones.
These are high-quality strings that bring out the maximum performance and character of your instrument, so please enjoy them as well.
Since this is a consignment item, shipping charges may differ from normal shipping charges.
GIB's craftsmen have adjusted it to make it easier to play and then deliver it to you.
