Fender is, needless to say, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence today.

This is a 1972 Jazz Bass.

It has been extensively modified, including the pickups.

The neck date is FEB 72 A.
The year was determined from other serial numbers and specifications.

The body is alder, and the neck is maple.
The fingerboard is a classic rosewood with rounded edges.

The binding and block fingerboard give it a luxurious feel.

Both the body and neck appear to have been refinished.

The block fingerboard adds a cool touch to its appearance.

The bridge has been replaced with a Leo Quan Badass II.

The pickups have been replaced with an older EMG J set.

There is a recess for the battery on the back.

All the pots have been replaced with '83 CTSs, so these modifications may have been made at that time.

Either way, it really does have a sense of its age.

We refretted it and replaced the nut, so it is in excellent condition.

The clean yet resilient sound of an early '70s Jazz Bass is perfectly matched with the clear, speedy sound that's characteristic of EMGs, creating an appealing sound.

It has that sound you'd hear in '90s R&B.

I recommend it.

Approximately 95% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paint show some scratches and dents.

The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with an EMG J Set, and a recess has been made on the back of the body for a battery compartment.

The bridge has been replaced with a Leo Quan Badass II.

The guitar has been refinished.

The date inscription (R1378348) indicates that all three pots were replaced (CTS 250k A) around 1983.

Our repairman performed a refret.
The block inlay at the third fret had peeled off, so it was glued back in place; the inlay is missing.
