Darkglass Electronics is a bass effector and amplifier brand from Finland.
It has gained worldwide popularity in recent years, and is trusted by many professional bassists who are active at the forefront.
ELEMENT functions as a headphone amplifier, DI, and speaker simulator.
Equipped with the already popular cabinet simulator, up to 5 cabinets can be stored in the ELEMENT main unit using Darkglass Suite (simulator adjustment app).
This function supports not only bass sounds but also guitar sounds, making it useful not only for practice but also for recording.
One of the major features of this model is that it supports playback of sound sources via Bluetooth connection.
There is also an AUX IN for physical connection, but it is also possible to connect a keyboard to this, so we recommend that method for sessions and practice.
Equipped with two headphone outs.
For example, you can use one as is for headphones, the other for recording, or output to a mixer.
Since it is equipped with an XLR output, you can see that it is also intended for use on stage and recording.
In other words, as a DI, you can send your favorite sound to the PA.
You can also connect the amp head's speaker output to the ELEMENT, and send the signal from the XLR output to the PA and cabinet. (There are several options for this method: from the speaker's parallel out to the ELEMENT, etc.)
Generally, the DI is often placed in front of the amp head, and the sound created by the amp head does not reach the PA side.
However, with this function, this becomes possible, allowing musicians themselves to be more actively involved in creating the external sounds.
