Carl Thompson is one of the brands that creates the most beautiful basses in the world.

All of their basses are custom-made, one-of-a-kind pieces, each one a work of art and of the highest quality.

They are also famous for being played by Stanley Clarke and Les Claypool. (Titles omitted)

This is a 4-string fretted model manufactured in 1994.

The body top is maple, and the back appears to be mahogany.

The body is very thin and lightweight.

The neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

It has a 36-inch scale and bolt-on construction.

The quality of the wood is undoubtedly top-notch, from the body, neck, fingerboard, to bridge.

While the grain is not particularly flashy, you can tell at a glance that it's high-quality.

I highly recommend you come and experience this for yourself in-store.

The pickups are EMG LJ5 and 35J.
The preamp is unknown, but it's likely original.

The playing feel is incredibly smooth.
It has the tightness you expect from a 36-inch scale, but still allows for a supple string vibration.

You don't even notice the length of the fingerboard, and the soft feel of the strings touching your fingertips is very appealing.

It's truly beautifully designed.

The clear low range, rich midrange, and silky high range with beautiful overtones combine perfectly to create a superb sound.

This is the world's finest electric bass, expertly crafted from high-quality wood and electronics.
Don't miss this opportunity!

Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. The string height is not adjustable with the bridge saddle. The current bow is close to straight, with strings 1-1 being 1.8mm, 2.1mm, 2.3mm, and 2.5mm.
The body and finish show buckle marks, scratches, and dents. The neck pickup cavity is shallow, so we cannot lower the neck pickup to our standard settings. (This may be due to the thin body thickness.) Even with a string-to-pickup distance of 1.5mm on the 1st string side and 2.8mm on the 4th string side, the instrument plays without distortion.

The electrical system is in good condition.

No obvious modifications were found.

Nut width: 41.4mm
Bridge string spacing: 19.0mm
