Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano, Japan.
Bacchus is a brand under the umbrella of Divisor, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and is highly regarded by many musicians for the high quality of its products because the factory handles them itself.
This model is based on the traditional jazz bass style, but with more advanced specs.
The most distinctive feature of this model is the use of a loin-studded maple neck.
Roasted maple is originally a Finnish technique, and the Kansai brand Sago pioneered its use in musical instruments.
This wood is treated at high temperatures to volatilize moisture and increase rigidity. Naturally, wood that has gone out of alignment during this process is not used.
The result is a high quality product in two ways.
The sound is well-proven, and in a good sense, it does not feel like a new instrument.
It has a wide range and warm nuance, which makes the sound juicy and happy.
It is amazing that the guitar uses a roasted maple neck and yet has an overwhelmingly low list price of 43,000 yen (excluding tax).
The pickups are not conventional single coils, but powerful humbucking types.
This gives it a noiseless and powerful sound.
The versatility of this bass, which can be used for a wide range of rock and pop music, is a major attraction.
We confidently recommend this gem as a sub for those who use a high-end bass as their main instrument, or as a first bass.
The remaining frets are approximately 90%.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is slightly high, but the string height is 2.0mm on the G string to 2.5mm on the E string, which does not interfere with the current playing.
The body and paint are in good condition, with some small dents and paint cracks on the lower side of the body.
GIB craftsmen have adjusted it to be easy to play.
