Atelier Z is a brand that specializes in making copies of the NY-style JB, which was popular for a while.
This is a replica model of the classic PB type.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic wood composition.
They specialize in NY-style instruments, but this model has a somewhat traditional Fender-like impression.
The extremely excellent playability that is unique to Atelier Z is a big attraction.
It is great that they have combined this ease of playability with a Precision Bass without losing the traditional nuances.
It has an open sound typical of the PB type, but also a neat impression, making it an easy-to-use instrument.
About 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The condition of the neck shows a tendency to be too high, but at present it is comfortable to play without having to make extreme settings.
The body and painted surface show signs of general use, and there are some localized paint defects, but there is no fatal damage, and the appearance is within the range of practical use.
The condition of the electrical system is good.
The pegs and bridge appear to have been replaced (because they are different from those on other models), but no additional screw holes have been confirmed, and the installation has been done relatively carefully (the manufacturer is unknown). In addition, the pots, capacitors, and pickups may have been replaced, but this was not confirmed. There are signs that a larger size pickguard was installed, and it has now been returned to the original.
