In addition to the natural preamp section, the SGT circuit has a selectable overdrive that mimics the “SVT” and “B15” amps from the same manufacturer.

The preamp section has a 1-knob comp and 3-band EQ with middle frequency for detailed sound creation.
As is typical of Ampeg, it is also equipped with ULTRA LO and ULTRA HI switches.
The SGT circuit, a feature of this model, can be deeply distorted, but I have the impression that it is a section used for characterization and sound creation to the extent of saturation.
The IR can be selected from the factory preset, one 15“, four 10”, and eight 10” presets. All of them are of excellent quality.
Presets can be added and managed using the Ampeg IR Loader application.
