Description & Condition

Alleva Coppolo was founded by Jimmy Coppolo, who gained extensive experience working at renowned New York guitar shops such as Rudy's Music.

In its early years, the brand operated out of a workshop in New York before later relocating to California, where it is currently based.

Alleva Coppolo basses are widely recognized as the instruments of choice for many professional bassists, including Paul Turner and Michael League.

The model featured here is the relatively rare LM-5.

This particular instrument was built during the brand's New York era, and many players specifically seek out basses from this early production period for their distinctive feel and character.

The body is made from Ash, while the neck and fingerboard are both Maple, creating the classic 1970s-style wood combination.

The neck features a relatively slim profile, giving it a slightly different feel compared to other examples from the same period.

Even so, the neck remains in good overall condition.

Both the pickups and preamp are original Alleva Coppolo components.

Tonally, this bass delivers a refined, modern interpretation of the traditional Fender-style sound.

Its naturally resonant low B string—one of Alleva Coppolo's most highly praised characteristics—is particularly impressive and is sure to satisfy discerning players.

This is truly an instrument whose appeal is best experienced in person.

We invite you to visit GIB Seoul and experience it for yourself.
