Sire gained instant fame as the brand that released basses supervised by Marcus Miller. The quality of the guitars and basses they manufacture is exceptionally high, earning them strong support even beyond Marcus Miller fans. This is the V3P, inspired by the Jazz Bass. While the V series includes several models, this one features a design that evokes a vintage feel. As indicated by the “LH” model number, it's a left-handed specification. The body is made of Mahogany. Indonesia has a good supply of high-quality Mahogany, so that's likely why it was chosen. The neck is Maple, the fingerboard is Rosewood – a classic wood combination. The edges are nicely rounded, aiming to improve playability. Most players will likely have positive feelings about this specification. Controls are simple: 2 volume knobs and 1 tone knob. Characterized by a tight yet richly harmonic sound with a powerful, moderately compressed feel. It retains Sire's signature playability while delivering a vintage-like feel. Highly recommended as both a step-up instrument and a great backup bass. ●SPECS - BODY - Body Material: Mahogany Body Shape: New Marcus Miller Jazz Type - NECK - Neck Material: Canadian Hard Maple Neck Shape: C-Shape Scale: 34“”“” Neck Joint: Four Bolt Steel Square Plate Fingerboard (Rolled Edges): Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 9.5“”“” Frets: 2.4 Medium String Nut: 4 String – Natural Bone 38mm width / 5 String – Natural Bone 46mm width Binding: None Inlay: White Pearl Dot - ELECTRONICS - Pickups: Marcus Vintage-J Revolution Set Preamp: Passive Volume & Tone Control Controls: Volume(Neck PU), Volume(Bridge PU), Tone(Master) - HARDWARE - Knobs: Plastic Jazz Type in Black Bridge: Marcus Standard Bass Bridge with Body Thru Hole Tuning Gear: Standard Open Gear Hardware Finish: Chrome Delivered pre-adjusted for playability by GIB craftsmen.
