Sire rose to fame as the brand that released a bass supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of the guitars and basses they manufacture is exceptionally high, earning them strong support even from non-Marcus Miller fans.
While Sire is a brand strongly associated with the JB style, this M Series features modern characteristics and is highly regarded.
This model is the new M6-6.
It retains the body shape of the M Series while incorporating a headless design and multi-scale neck, resulting in a more modern specification.
The body is made of mahogany.
Since high-quality mahogany is readily available in Indonesia, it’s likely that’s why they chose this wood.
The finish on the fingerboard and frets is outstanding.
While this is to be expected in this price range, the build quality is so high that it holds its own even when compared to higher-priced models.
The scale length is 33-35 inches, which is relatively short, so even players accustomed to JB-style guitars should find it comfortable to play.
It features an original humbucking pickup and a preamp with a 3-band EQ.
These are named the Marcus Pure-H Revolution Set and the Marcus Miller Heritage-3 with Middle Frequency Control.
