PRS is a new era standard guitar brand along with Fender and Gibson.

The beautiful guitars and basses they manufacture are known to be used by top musicians around the world, including Rhonda Smith, John Mayer, and Al Di Meola.

Gary Grainger Bass is now also made in the CORE series, but originally it was only made in the top-of-the-line Private Stock line. There are differences between the two in terms of hardware and wood grade.

This is a literal NOS (New Old Stock) that was manufactured in 2012 and has been dormant without being sold.
We confirmed that it was exhibited at the 2012 NAMM SHOW.

Burl Maple is used for the body top.
As you can see, this is a top-quality product that lives up to the PRS Private Stock name.

Swamp Ash is used for the body back.
This is different because the CORE series uses Mahogany.

The neck is elegant Curly Maple and the fingerboard is East Indian Rosewood.
There is no need to mention the quality of the wood. It's impossible to ask for more.

The tuning machine was probably manufactured by Schaller.
CORE uses GOTOH.

The color is Light Mocha Smoked Burst.
Utilizing the characteristics of white Maple, it has a bright and luxurious finish.

The hardware is unified in gold to match that. (The fingerboard side dots are also gold)

The bird inlay on the fingerboard is made from Burl Maple.
Its outline is decorated with 14K GOLD. Exactly the best.

The paint is called DGT Nitro.
Although it is not a very familiar paint, this is a Nitro paint made for DGT (David Grissom Trem).

The DGT guitar is David Grissom's signature model, and David Grissom has a deep knowledge of vintage guitars and greatly contributed to McCarty's development.

Because this is the signature model of someone so important to PRS, a paint was developed just for it.

The bridge is an original one, and although the structure is similar to the CORE one, it is clearly different.

It is characterized by the long distance from the ball end to the saddle.
This creates a gentler angle at the saddle, resulting in a more natural string vibration.

I think it will have a familiar playing feel for those who like the RayRoss and BADASS styles.
Another good point is that quick release is possible.

The PU is an original humbucking type exclusively for GG Bass, and the preamp is also original with a 3-band EQ.

The preamplifier is made differently from the current CORE.

The PU surface is smooth, and the fact that it can be used like a finger lamp is a big attraction.
The sound is typical of PU, which uses bar-type pole pieces, and has a wide range and powerful feel.

The basic sound is very smooth with plenty of low end and beautiful overtones.

Passive mode has a thick sound, perfect for old school music.
The beautiful and powerful sound of active mode will fit into modern ensembles.

Although the sound is different from Fender or Gibson, I feel that it has universal value and is loved by all kinds of ensembles.
