Bacchus has several series of guitars in different price ranges, and the Universe series pursues especially high cost performance.
This model is a jazz bass model with a neck made of roasted maple.
Roasted maple is originally a Finnish technology, and Sago, a Kansai brand, pioneered its use in musical instruments.
The wood is treated at high temperatures to volatilize the moisture and increase its rigidity. Naturally, wood that has gone out of alignment during this process is not used.
The result is a high quality product in two ways.
The sound is well-proven, and in a good sense, it does not feel like a new instrument.
