In Japan, it is used by many famous musicians, including Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ from indigo jam unit, and Katsuji Morioka, and abroad, including Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton.
This is a special guitar custom-ordered by GIB.
The XJ series is a Japanese-made line that has been highly praised by studio musicians.
It is basically made in a traditional style, but has some modern updates.
The position of the neck joint is slightly different from usual, and when you hold it, you will notice that it is easier for your left hand to reach the higher positions.
This is an arrangement for modern musicians who use the entire fingerboard evenly.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood.
The fingerboard is a little long and has 22 frets.
The paint is lacquer, and the color is copper, heavy aged.
It has a classic feel both in appearance and sound. The tuning machines are HIPSHOT Ultralite. The bridge is original. The PU is Raw Vintage. This is handmade in California and features a clear, crisp, and vivid output. It is more sensitive to the player's fingertips than before. The neck PU is deeper, the bridge PU is more three-dimensional, and the mix gives a clear and tight low end. The preamp is Xotic original. The controls are neck volume (active/passive switch), bridge volume (series/parallel switch), passive tone, treble, middle, bass, middle frequency switch, and treble frequency switch. The sound is neat, with a comfortable overtone while ensuring sufficient low-frequency range. The playability is also very high, and the overall level is high. Especially for session musicians and studio musicians, there is always a demand for JBs that have modern playing features and preamps but still have a traditional sound. However, there are not many products that meet this quality requirement.
