Sus bass is a Korean bass guitar brand created by former professional musician Jin Su Lee.

The new guitar I ordered this time is an active 5-string JB-style.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic wood construction.
The neck is made of roasted maple with distinctive straight grain.
The hardware is from Hipshot, giving it a Western feel.
The pickups are custom models ordered from Lundgren in Sweden.
These pickups are used by bass brands like Stenback, and while they're a fairly niche brand, their excellent quality is highly praised by users.
The 3-band EQ preamp is his original design, and instead of overly widening the Q to enhance the effect, they have a relatively natural feel.
When using a JB type, it gives the impression of pinpoint control over the low and high frequencies you want to bring out and the mid-range you want to smooth out, and while it's not flashy, it brings out the acoustic qualities of the instrument.
It was developed from feedback from musicians who used it in recordings and on stage, so in that sense it feels very practical.
The pickups were custom made for the Sus, and the preamp is original, so of course they're a perfect match.
Controls are neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, passive tone (preamp bypass with push-pull switch), middle, and treble/bass.
The sound gives the impression of a somewhat modern 5-string JB.
The transition from the low B string to the G string is smooth, very well-balanced, and feels easy to play.
The well-balanced sound, smoothness, and ease of playability across the entire fingerboard are its appealing features.
Personally, I feel the same way about the Alleva Coppolo.
It has better balance than the Fender and more stickiness than the Sadowsky.
In fact, in Korea, it's said to have a feel somewhere between an Alleva Coppolo and a Sadowsky.
This is a truly wonderful, exquisite instrument that truly embodies Jinsu's personality.
