This model is the V5, inspired by the Jazz Bass.
While the V series includes several models, this one features a design evoking vintage charm.
The neck features roasted maple with a satin finish.
This is also known as thermowood.
Thermowood, commercialized for musical instruments by Japan's Sago, was originally used as sauna construction material in Finland.
Thermowood is highly valued for its resistance to high temperatures and humidity. Its usefulness for instruments is evident from its adoption by top manufacturers like Sadowsky and Suhr.
It's said that a certain percentage of thermowood is discarded during processing.
Likely, pieces prone to warping in the future are also discarded at this stage.
Sound-wise, it gives a distinct impression of a well-seasoned, nuanced character.
The fingerboard also uses roasted maple.
Unlike the neck, it features a gloss finish.
The edges are smoothly rounded, aiming to enhance playability.
