As the name suggests, Nambu Tekki Effects is a brand of effects pedals that use Nambu Tekki (cast iron) as the housing.
The case is heavier than those usually made of aluminum, and the sound is described by the developer as “thick sound pressure and fast response to picking”.
The developer, Mr. Keijiro Fukushima, majored in electronics engineering at Tokyo Denki University in order to produce effect pedals.
This is an overdrive that allows flexible sound creation.
As you can see, the chassis is from a series that is not made of Nanbu Tekki.
In addition to the standard controls of GAIN, TONE, and VOLUME, it has switches called OD and DS.
These add overdrive and distortion, each with its own character to the sound.
They are actually diode switches, with silicon at the top, LEDs at the bottom, and off in the center.
It is a simple and beautiful design.
The sound has a jarring texture, with a unique and impressive external tone.
