KarDiaN is an up-and-coming effects pedal brand that combines advanced ideas with classic sounds.
Their products are favored by many professionals, including Tomoki Sekiya and Tamon Mori.
Serotonin Origin S.T. is a new overdrive developed by KarDiaN in collaboration with Susumu Tamura, the former Maxon developer of the Tube Screamer.
The reference was a vintage Tube Screamer (Maxon OD808, Ibanez Ts808, etc.).
However, as a circuit, it is not a TS, nor any other pedal from KarDiaN, but something completely new.
It has a strong presence in the midrange, as is typical of TS, but without losing the presence component, and a crisp sound can be obtained.
In addition to this, this is the ADD CBF model.
The ADD CBF model is literally a special model with CLEAN BLEND and CLEAN LPF functions.
In addition to being able to mix the original sound before distortion, that original sound can be mixed with the full range of frequencies by utilizing a low-pass filter (only the low frequencies are passed through and the high frequencies are cut), or only the low frequencies.
This allows for a wide range of uses, such as creating a thicker sound with a slightly less intense presence, or adding a slightly jerky texture to a clean base.
