HEX Guitars is a brand based in South Korea that specializes in products in the entry-level to mid-range price range.
They have their own factory in Indonesia and manufacture their own products. This is what sets them apart from brands that typically manufacture through OEM.
Because they don't rely on other factories and the boss himself is so passionate about the process, they are able to manufacture guitars of a quality that is unimaginable given the price.
The W series is a modern guitar that combines high playability with excellent sound.
The beautiful shape of the W300's body is made from Indonesian mahogany.
This wood was specially selected for the warm, rich sound that the W series aims to achieve.
The neck is made of hard maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The fingerboard radius is finished with a 12-16 inch compound radius.
A compound radius features a rounded fingerboard shape in the lower positions and a flat shape in the higher positions.
Generally, a rounded fingerboard radius improves playability but can cause sound blockage in the higher positions.
The compound radius addresses this issue.
This technology is adopted by high-end brands such as Suhr Guitars and Tom Anderson.
The frets are made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is characterized by its lack of tarnish and high hardness.
Stainless steel frets maintain their shine and are extremely resistant to wear, making them popular among high-end guitar brands in recent years.
The neck shape is slim and features a neutral C-shape.
The pickup is an original humbucker pickup.
They use original pickups in many models.
This is not for cost-cutting purposes but because they have confidence in the quality of their own designs.
Staff members who understand music and play it regularly have thoroughly researched and designed various elements such as magnets, wires, and bobbins.
This pickup can be tapped using a push-pull switch to function as a single-coil pickup.
The scale length is 25.5 inches, the same as a Stratocaster or Telecaster.
The tuning machines are original lock-type.
It is a masterpiece designed with weight balance in mind.
The balance when held is excellent, and even those accustomed to playing Fender or Gibson guitars will likely find it easy to play.
The sound has a silky texture, with a strong humbucker-type character.
Additionally, there is a bite in the high frequencies, and the balance may feel like a middle ground between Fender and Gibson.
The basic quality around the neck is very high, making it highly playable, and it would be difficult to say it is inferior even when compared to more expensive guitars.

At first, I misheard the price as 6,000 USD and put the deal on hold, thinking, “The quality is high, but so is the price.”
However, I later realized that I had misheard and that the actual price was 600 USD, so I contacted them immediately. It made sense that something I thought was reasonable at 6,000 USD was actually 600 USD.
A few days later, we held another business meeting in Seoul and agreed that GIB and TONIQ would handle the distribution of HEX in the Japanese market.
Since then, we have held frequent meetings with them and finally reached the point of launching sales.
