Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano, Japan.
Bacchus is a brand under the umbrella of Divisor, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and is highly regarded by many musicians for the high quality of its guitars because they are handcrafted by the factory itself.
Bacchus has several series in different price ranges, and the Universe series pursues especially high cost performance.
The WJB-1DX is a JB model that focuses on playability and sound while keeping the price low.
The body has the same dinky shape as those of the WOODLINE series.
The neck joint is heel-less cut and contoured for good high position playing.
The frets are made of stainless steel, which is highly resistant to wear and contamination.
The use of stainless steel frets is innovative at this price point, as they cost more than nickel frets.
The neck is made of roasted maple.
Roasted maple is originally a Finnish technology, and Sago, a Kansai brand, pioneered its use in instruments.
This material is said to have been treated at high temperatures to volatilize moisture and increase rigidity. Naturally, wood that has gone out of alignment during this process is not used.
The result is a high quality product in two ways.
Instruments made of roasted maple have a more natural sound and feel less like new, in a good way.
Like the stainless steel frets, this kind of specification is not usually used in this price range.
This is a new product of Bacchus with hyper smooth playability.
Please give it a try.
