Sadowsky is a brand that began in 1979 when Roger Sadowsky opened his workshop in New York.
Based on his experience as a repairman, working on instruments for many session musicians, his basses have earned immense trust in the New York studio scene.
They are also known for being favored by many top professionals, including Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Since 2019, Sadowsky has had a licensing agreement with Warwick of Germany. While the NYC custom shop remains, Warwick now handles the production of the Metro and MetroExpress series.
The MetroExpress is an entry-level series that allows you to experience the Sadowsky sound at a more accessible price.
It is manufactured in Asia and finished under continuous quality control.
This particular instrument is a 24-Fret Modern Bass, a 5-string model.
It features a modern body shape with 24 frets and two Sadowsky Soapbar pickups in modern positions (middle and bridge).
Unlike typical Jazz Bass-style basses, this bass boasts a thick, well-defined mid-low range.
The color is Solid Black High Polish.
The glossy black finish, accented by chrome hardware, creates a simple yet sharp look.
The body is made of Okoume, and the neck is Roasted Maple.
