Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Kikuchi Guitars is a Japanese handmade guitar brand.
Known for its instrument-making that pursues the ideal tone envisioned by skilled craftsmen, it is distributed domestically by Okada International.
The Hermes ""70"" Series is a full-size body series combining a 70s-style pickup configuration with a 20-fret specification.
This is the 5-string model, the Hermes M70-5.
The pickup positioned closer to the bridge provides a clearly defined tone when mixed with the neck pickup.
The 20-fret specification aims for excellent responsiveness during slap playing, achieving a balance between rich lows and crisp highs.
The body is made of 2-piece ash, and the neck and fingerboard are maple.
The color is TWH (Trans White), giving it an elegant look with a subtle ash wood grain showing through.
The neck has a thin, matte nitrocellulose finish, providing a smooth feel.
This guitar features two DiMarzio J-type pickups with hum-canceling capabilities.
The preamp is a Kikuchi Guitars original, featuring treble/bass boost.
The master tone control functions as a passive roll-off tone control, and can be switched between active and passive modes via a push-pull switch.
While there are some minor scratches, overall it's in excellent condition with minimal signs of use.
This is a guitar we highly recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy the character of a 70s JB in a modern 5-string configuration.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork have some minor dents and scratches, but overall it's in excellent condition with minimal signs of use.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
