Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Tsubasa Guitar Workshop is a Japanese brand with a workshop located in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture.
Builder Chiaki Tanaka, after working for a major guitar manufacturer, became independent.
He gained experience in repairing and painting vintage guitars and through OEM production for other manufacturers, and began seriously building his own guitars and basses in 2009.
The workshop meticulously finishes each instrument, from wood selection to painting, assembly, and setup.
A key feature is that Mr. Tanaka himself hand-winds the pickups.
This is a JB-style 5-string model.
The color is Burgundy Mist.
It has been aged, giving it the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been played for many years.
The combination with the tortoiseshell pickguard is also very atmospheric.
It is equipped with two J-type single-coil pickups.
You can expect a sound that combines the clarity characteristic of a JB with a vintage-like fullness.
The nut width is 47.7mm, and the string spacing at the bridge is 18mm.
This is a standard setting for a 5-string JB-type bass.
The headstock is stamped with ""NAGANO JAPAN"".
This is a 5-string JB that showcases the meticulous craftsmanship unique to small domestic workshops.
Please try it out at GIB.
