Sire became famous for releasing basses supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of their guitars and basses is extremely high, and they are highly regarded not only by Marcus Miller fans but also by a wider audience.
The V7 is a model based on the Jazz Bass, combined with an active circuit that reproduces Marcus Miller's sound.
This instrument is the current New Gen model of the V7 Alder-4.
The color is Yellow Swirl.
Due to the swirl finish, the pattern differs from one instrument to another.
The body is Alder, the neck is Maple, and the fingerboard is Ebony.
The fingerboard features block inlays and binding.
It has 20 frets and a 34-inch scale length.
It is equipped with two Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups.
The preamp is a Marcus Heritage-3.
Controls are Volume/Tone, Balancer, Treble, Middle/Middle Frequency, and Bass.
Pulling up the Bass knob switches to passive mode. This bass combines the clear, articulate tone characteristic of a Jazz Bass with the powerful highs and lows of a Heritage-3 pickup.
Whether slapping or fingerstyle, it delivers the standard, active Jazz Bass sound.
