The instruments crafted by builder Andrea Capurso are consistently traditional, experimental, and musical.
He translates brilliant concepts into tangible instruments with solid skill.
The Spiral is a work that takes Fender's traditional style as its base while incorporating more modern developments.
As you can see, this model is modeled after the Precision Bass.
The body is made of swamp ash, and the neck and fingerboard are made of walnut.
While many of their models feature modern constructions such as elegant top woods and ash necks, this model is relatively simple.
The exterior features a multi-layer finish with Leverder Pink over Blue, and careful aging treatment gives it a well-worn look.
This bass features Aguilar AG 5P-60 pickups.
Based on 1960s Precision Bass pickups, they are characterized by their rich midrange.
The playing feel is extremely light, and the nuanced response to even the slightest touch, while still producing a full sound, is very impressive.
The neck quality is exceptionally high, and to allow you to fully appreciate it, the string action is kept low.
A slightly higher string action for a stronger playing feel might also suit this bass.
The sound is truly a traditional PB sound.
