The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This instrument, based on its serial number, is a Jazz Bass manufactured in 1988, one of the earliest years of the Fender Custom Shop's operation.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It's a classic combination, primarily featuring a rich midrange.
The pickups are original.
Screw holes for a finger rest are visible.
It features a sound characterized by a combination of dense bass and sharp treble.
Having been manufactured nearly 40 years ago, it exhibits a well-aged, refined tone.
From expressive playing that envelops the ensemble to powerfully driving the groove, it changes freely depending on the player's nuances.
This is a top-of-the-line Jazz Bass that every bassist should try at least once in their life.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with dents and scratches throughout. There are scattered paint chips of about 10.0mm on the body top and near the joint. The metal parts show some tarnishing. Screw holes for a finger rest are visible. There is some black discoloration on the headstock.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
