Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura.
Many famous musicians, including Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton, use Xotic guitars. (Titles omitted)
The XTB-1T is a new model released in 2025.
As you can see, it's based on the OPB.
The body is made of ash, and the fretboard is maple, a classic wood combination.
The color is Butterscotch Blonde, and it's beautifully finished with lacquer.
The aging is Heavy Aged.
The tuning machines are Hipshot Ultralite, and the bridge is a Hipshot Style B.
Personally, I think the use of a simple bridge suits it very well.
The position markers are LUMINOVA luminous type, a nice touch that makes them easy to see even on a dark stage.
The frets are Jescar.
The pickups are original, and it's paired with Xotic's highly regarded preamp.
While OPB basses are generally associated with passive designs, the Xotic preamp, with its extremely natural tone, adds greater convenience and sonic expandability without compromising the OPB's appeal.
This bass is very easy to play, as is typical of modern basses, and fully delivers the characteristic fullness of the OPB's sound.
It will be delivered after being adjusted for ease of play by GIB's craftsmen.
