Yamaha is a renowned brand that has supported the Japanese guitar industry since its early days.
This instrument is the RBX 6JM, a signature model of John Myung, bassist of Dream Theater.
The body top is made of beautiful figured maple, and the body back is made of alder.
The neck is a laminated type, made by bonding together three pieces of beautiful quarter-sawn maple.
This technique of bonding multiple pieces of wood together to create the neck reduces left-right and individual differences, resulting in greater stability.
The ebony fingerboard is jet black and rarely used these days due to its rarity.
The beautiful inlays, as you can see, are exclusive to this model.
The pickup is an original Double Coil.
It features a tight, powerful sound with a strong core, characteristic of Yamaha, and boasts a wide range and fast response that can handle technical playing, as is typical of a 6-string bass.
The preamp is also original.
