ESP is one of Japan's leading guitar brands, enjoying worldwide renown alongside Fender and Gibson.
It's supported by many professional artists, including IKUO, Hidekazu Hinata, and Kazuhiko Nakamura, who are known to use ESP basses.
The AMAZE is an advanced model that respects the JB style while incorporating a design that better suits modern musicians.
This particular instrument is a 1997 model with a headstock featuring a five-in-line tuner setup on one side.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups have been replaced with Bartolini MK1s.
There is a gap in the cavity due to the size difference compared to the original cavity (likely for humbuckers).
The preamp is a Bartolini NTBT, further enhanced with a Bartolini TQB (Quad-Input Buffer).
This guitar features a buffer on/off switch for tonal switching and has been updated to deliver a tight, noiseless sound.
The frets have approximately 85% remaining.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with scattered dents and scratches. There are also small dents on the headstock.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Bartolini MK1s. The pickup cavity has been expanded accordingly. It is active and equipped with Bartolini NTBT and Bartolini TQB (Quad-Input Buffer) pickups.
