Epiphone is a guitar brand with a long history.
Currently positioned as a more affordable alternative to Gibson, it still enjoys a large following due to its high quality.
This model is based on Gibson's classic SG guitar and is particularly popular among rock bassists—the so-called SG bass.
The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the fretboard is rosewood, a configuration typical of Gibson guitars.
The pickups are a Sidewinder Humbucker in the neck position and a NYT Bass Mini Humbucker in the bridge position.
The sound is characterized by a thick mid-low range and a solid presence, typical of humbuckers.
