Description & Condition

Art Tech is a legendary guitar brand created by builder Mr. Sugiura.

It's also known for being used by musicians like Ryosuke Nikamoto.

This particular guitar is an original 5-string model with numerous practical modifications.

The body is made of alder, and the neck is made of maple.

The body has been refinished in a glossy natural finish.

The electronics have been made active, and the preamp features a renowned Fodera 2-band EQ.

The thorough customization aimed at improving playability is also noteworthy.

The fretboard, originally 24 frets, has been changed to 21 frets, and the empty end section has been sloped.

Furthermore, a finger ramp has been added between the pickups, and an acrylic slap step has been installed at the neck end.

It's packed with features to stabilize the right-hand form, from fingerstyle to slap.

The hardware has also been updated, with the bridge changed to a HIPSHOT B-style.

The output jack has been replaced from the original cylinder type to a Pure Tone jack, which is more resistant to contact problems, and the body has been routed accordingly.

The sound is well-balanced from low to high frequencies, and I particularly feel its refined quality, without any issues of any frequency range being too prominent or too weak.

This lack of bias and the high-quality control provided by the Fodera preamp are undoubtedly reassuring points for musicians.

Yet, the rich harmonics and open nuances are very pleasing.

This is the kind of bass you want to play forever, and I often find myself spending a long time checking it.

The frets have approximately 90% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but I have confirmed that it moves about 90 degrees.

The neck has some high-head bowing, but it is playable without problems with a G string setting of 2.5mm and an E string setting of 3.3mm.

There are some minor scratches and dents on the body and paintwork.

The electronics are in good condition. This guitar has been activated with a Fodera 2EQ preamp.
The body has been refinished in a gloss natural finish.
The bridge has been replaced with a HIPSHOT B-style bridge.
The number of frets has been reduced from 24 to 21 and sloped.
The jack has also been changed from a cylinder type to a Pure Tone jack, and the neck has been routed accordingly.
