KLON is a brand founded in 1994 by Bill Finnegan.

This is the legendary overdrive pedal, the Centaur.

While the Centaur has several variations in terms of enclosure and artwork, this is the earliest model, commonly known as the ""Longtail.""

Both the pot date and switch date indicate it was manufactured in 1997.

It can be considered a later model among the early production models.

Compared to the very earliest models, it has a slightly higher gain.

Also, compared to later models, it has a sound with a juicier midrange.

It can be used not only as a booster but also as a standalone overdrive pedal.

The midrange that stands out in an ensemble and the drive sound with sparkling harmonics are truly sublime.
