Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence even today.
This is a 1974 Jazz Bass.
All the potentiometers are stamped with ""137-7429"".
The year was determined from other specifications.
The body is alder, and the neck and fretboard are maple.
While the 70s might bring to mind the combination of ash and maple, the combination of alder and maple, with its light midrange, is also highly recommended.
The frets are judged to be original based on the remaining binding.
The frets have been repeatedly leveled, and while the remaining life is low, the current playability is relatively good.
The nut has been replaced.
The pickups have been replaced with an EVERTONE PICKUP / NEWTONE JB4 Class-S set.
This is one of the best replacement pickups available for vintage basses.

It features a design that takes into account the sound of vintage guitars, behavior suitable for recording, and envelope curve (how the volume changes).
The fast, tight sound characteristic of the 70s is distinctive, yet it also has an open midrange nuance, which is a unique charm of this instrument combining alder and maple.
Approximately 50% of the frets remain.
