| Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano. It's a brand under the Deviser umbrella, which owns a large guitar factory called the Asuka Factory. The high quality of their instruments, thanks to their in-house factory production, is highly regarded by many musicians. Bacchus has several series, but this one is from their top-of-the-line HANDMADE SERIES. Currently, the model numbers are almost entirely standardized under WOODLINE, but at the time, various models were offered. This Standard model is a JB-style 5-string bass with an active circuit. The body is made of ash, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is ebony. Both the body and neck are bound, giving it an elegant look while maintaining a traditional JB style. It features original pickups and a Bartolini XTCT preamp. All the knobs have been replaced. This 5-string bass boasts a clear attack characteristic of an ash body, a tight response thanks to its ebony fingerboard, and a sound that maintains definition even in the lower frequencies. Its active circuitry allows for a wide range of tonal shaping, making it easy to handle from tight and clear sounds to powerful tones with added low-end thickness. It combines the meticulous craftsmanship of the Handmade Series with the practical usability of a 5-string Jazz Bass. Fret life is approximately 70%. The truss rod is in good condition. The neck is in good condition. The body and paintwork show signs of use, with scattered dents and scratches. Some tarnishing is visible on the metal parts. The electronics are in good condition. All knobs have been replaced.
