This model is the latest bass preamp/DI pedal, adding preset functionality, IR, and MIDI expandability to the SansAmp Bass Driver, a staple preamp for all bassists.
Basic sound shaping is done using the DRIVE, 3-band EQ, PRESENCE, COMP, and BLEND controls.
Pressing the tuner button activates RED ZONE control, allowing adjustment of preamp level, filter, mid-frequency, Q, ambience, compression ratio, chorus, and more.
This enables a multi-faceted approach with a single unit, allowing for effects such as filter, chorus, and vibrato.
It features a performance mode for quick recall of three presets and a studio mode that can save up to 128 custom presets.
The ability to switch between modes depending on the situation, such as live performances or recording, is a welcome feature.
Furthermore, the dedicated MIDI-compatible user interface allows for more detailed editing of parameters such as amp, effects, EQ, and IR.
It supports blending multiple IRs and uploading external IRs.
It also features a tuner function, effects loop, and XLR output, making it versatile for connecting to amplifiers, direct output to PA systems, inputting into power amplifiers, and direct recording to PCs.
This is a next-generation SansAmp that can serve as the core of your system.
