The Precision Bass was the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, and it instantly captivated bassists worldwide.
Its brilliance remains unchanged and it continues to be loved even more than half a century after its creation.
This is the 1954 Precision Bass from the Fender American Vintage II series.
This model reproduces the style of the early Precision Bass from around 1954, the so-called Original Precision Bass (OPB), and features specifications unique to the early model.
The body is made of ash, and the neck and fingerboard are made of maple, a simple construction.
It is equipped with original single-coil pickups.
The sound is thick, powerful, and has a straightforward tone with a somewhat dry nuance.
It is recommended not only for those looking for an OPB-style bass, but also for those seeking a vintage-like Precision.
