Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top musicians like Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients.
Previously, the Metroline Express was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing shifted to a factory in China.
While keeping the selling price down, high quality is maintained, making it a very unique product in its price range.
Initially, the Metroline Express series did not have the Sadowsky logo, but this has now been changed.
This is a new 6-string bass.
Sadowsky isn't typically associated with 6-string basses, but this one is finished with a refined balance.
Furthermore, the neck has been changed to roasted maple.
It has a satin finish and a smooth feel.
The fretboard is Morado (Pau Ferro) with 24 frets.
The back panel is screwless, similar to Warwick.
Looking inside the cavity, you can see that it's shielded with copper foil tape. It's fantastic.
The pickups are hum-canceling, as is typical of Sadowsky.
The preamp circuit board is almost identical to that of their top-of-the-line models, which are priced around 1 million yen, and this is a significant advantage.
The controls are volume, balance, bass, and treble.
A push-pull switch allows you to bypass the active circuit and play passively.
The powerful and crisp sound sounds a little more flamboyant than recent NYC models.
Some people might even prefer this sound.
It seems difficult to produce a product of the same high quality at the same price point.
Also, there aren't many 6-string bass options in this price range, so this is a good choice.
Highly recommended.
It will be delivered after being adjusted for playability by a GIB craftsman.
