Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura.
In Japan, it's used by many famous musicians, including Yoshiki Takahashi, BJ from indigo jam unit, and Katsushi Morioka. Internationally, it's used by Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, Travis Carlton, and many others. (Titles omitted)
The XJ series, a line manufactured in Japan, has been highly regarded, especially among studio workers.
While fundamentally built in the Fender style, several aspects have been updated with modern touches.
This particular model is from 2011.
It features the older logo design.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
This is a classic combination with a rich midrange.
The body is finished in Black Cherry Metallic, giving it a chic impression.
The pickups are Xotic Original J Single Coil, and the preamp is an Xotic Tri-Logic Preamp.
The sound is refined, providing sufficient low frequencies while incorporating pleasant harmonics.
The playability is extremely high, making it a high-level instrument overall.
