Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.
Fender Japan is a discontinued brand, but many artists still use their instruments, and its high quality is still highly regarded.
This model is a PB57, faithfully reproducing the style of the 1957 PB.
Based on the specifications listed in the original catalog (the pickups are not USA-made, and the bridge is not spiral), we've determined it to be a PB57-53.
The body is made of basswood. The neck and fingerboard are 1-piece maple.
The pickups are original.
The strap pins and anodized pickguard have been replaced with Schaller parts.
Additionally, the cavity is shielded with silver foil tape.
This bass features the characteristic thick low end and open midrange of a Precision Bass.
With its unchanging standard specifications, it fits all genres, including R&B, rock, and pop.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show overall scratches and small dents. Scratches are also visible on the pickup covers. Some tarnishing is visible on the metal parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller ones. The pickguard has been replaced with an anodized one. The cavity is shielded with silver foil tape.
