Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano.
It's a brand under the Deviser umbrella, which owns a large guitar factory called the Asuka Factory. The high quality, stemming from the factory's in-house production, is highly regarded by many musicians.
This model is the WL model, part of the WOODLINE series, Bacchus's top-of-the-line lineage.
The body is made of ash, and the neck and fretboard are made of roasted maple.
The most distinctive feature is the use of roasted maple for the neck and fretboard.
This is also known as thermowood.
Thermowood, which was commercialized in the musical instrument field by Sago of Japan, was originally used in Finland as a building material for saunas.
Thermowood is valued for its resistance to high temperatures and humidity, and its usefulness in musical instruments is evident from its adoption by top manufacturers such as Sadowsky and Suhr.
It is equipped with original single-coil pickups.
It features the brand's characteristic smooth playability, and the sound is well-balanced and smooth from low to high frequencies. It delivers a powerful sound while maintaining excellent response.
