Three Dots is a new brand created by Yoshiyuki Kikuchi (and Okada International), who has earned immense trust from many professional bassists, particularly for his work with Sadowsky.
This model is an ambitious creation that fully incorporates Mr. Kikuchi's intentions, based on the traditional JB bass.
This is an active model.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is Indian rosewood.
This is a classic combination with a rich midrange.
The pickups are an original design.
These pickups reference the sound of vintage Fender basses used by professional musicians in the field.
After much trial and error, these pickups were perfected, and while the sound is not flashy, it has a well-balanced sound from low to high frequencies, and the overall finish is very refined.
The preamp uses an EMG BTC.
It features a 2-band equalizer with treble and bass controls, each with 12dB of boost/cut range.
This combination is excellent, providing a wide range while being powerful and fast.
Overall, it boasts a well-balanced sound, and combined with its hyper-smooth playability, it delivers a high level of quality.
Its balanced sound—moderately flashy without being overpowering in an ensemble—and its refined, smooth playability will make it a strong ally in various situations.
Fret life is approximately 80%.
The truss rod is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show some minor scratches overall, but no noticeable damage.
