LAKLAND basses are overwhelmingly highly regarded by professional bass players worldwide.
They are known to be used by top artists such as Darryl Jones, Joe Osborn, and Adam Clayton. (Titles omitted)
LAKLAND has three production lines: USA, Shoreline, and Skyline. This is a model from the Skyline series.
The body top is quilted maple, and the body back is alder.
The fingerboard is made of maple.
The pickups are Duncan Design MM-J Config.
The preamp is a CI-R-03 3-band preamp.
An acrylic pickguard has been added.
The bridge humbucking pickup has three wiring variations: neck coil only, humbucking, and bridge coil only.
This allows for a wide range of sound shaping, from a low-center-of-gravity 60s Jazz Bass-like nuance to a slightly higher-center-of-gravity 70s Jazz Bass-like nuance, and even a powerful sound reminiscent of a StingRay, when combined with the neck pickup.
It features a smooth, wet midrange and a sound rich in beautiful harmonics.
While retaining the universal elements of Fender-style basses, this instrument boasts a more modern, high-range sound.
The frets have approximately 85% remaining.
