Ibanez is a leading Japanese guitar brand, globally renowned alongside Fender and Gibson.
This model is a reissue of the Affirma, a model developed in the 1990s through a collaboration between Swiss luthier Rolf Spuler and Ibanez, which was sadly discontinued.
The body top is constructed of Flamed Maple and Walnut, with a Maple back.
Despite its unique body shape, it boasts excellent balance and high playability.
Another notable feature is its extremely light weight, weighing in at just over 3kg.
The neck is a 3-piece Maple with built-in Graphite Reinforcement Rods.
It employs a half-through-neck construction, joining the body at a deeper position than a standard set neck.
The fingerboard is Ebony.
The pickups are a magnetic Bartolini X44JX and a piezo-type AeroSilk Piezo System.
The piezo pickup offers a very acoustic and fast response, while the magnetic pickup provides a contrasting thick and rich sound.
The preamp is an Ibanez 2-Band EQ with Piezo Active Tone.
Its smooth attack and responsiveness to right-hand touch are major features, and it also boasts a wide range of sound shaping possibilities thanks to the two types of pickups.

The frets have approximately 85% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck has a slight upward bow, and there is some buzzing when playing strongly in the higher positions (though it should be playable without problems). This can be improved by adjusting the neck height to 2.5mm-3.0mm (above the 12th fret).
The body and paintwork show some minor scratches, but overall it is in good condition.
The electronics are in good condition. EQ does not work on the piezo pickup, but this is by design.
No obvious modifications were observed.
