Mayones is a high-end brand that manufactures cutting-edge guitars and basses in Poland.
Its quality is well-established, as it is favored by top musicians such as Hadrien Feraud and Federico Malaman. (Titles omitted)
The Jabba is a model that takes the traditional JB as its motif and adds further development.
This is the EP5, the flagship model of the Jabba series.
The body uses Eye Poplar 3A for the top and Swamp Ash for the back.
The body color is Trans Graphite-Burst.
The combination of the exotic wood's captivating grain and the color creates a very beautiful look.
The neck and fingerboard are made of 1P Maple.
It uses a slightly longer 34.25-inch scale length than usual, resulting in tight bass strings and excellent articulation.
The pickups are VELVETRONE Gallant 5 set.
Developed by Mayones, these pickups are characterized by their clear and low-noise sound.
The preamp is a Musashi Nitoryu 3.
This is also a Mayones original, and it has a very user-friendly and straightforward sound.
The controls include volume (push-pull/active-passive), balancer, middle, treble/bass, and passive tone.
The inclusion of a phone out, aux in, and a USB Type-C port for charging is an advanced and unique feature.
One of its greatest features is its wide tonal range thanks to 24 frets, while maintaining the same playability and balance as a JB.
The body shape and joint design provide excellent access to the high frets, and the playability is ultra-smooth.
It offers a light playing feel, yet produces a robust and beautiful sound full of harmonics.
Sometimes 24-fret JB models can sound too tight, but I didn't get that negative impression with this model.
As a modern model with a design that evolves from the JB, it is an exceptionally well-crafted instrument.
