Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top-tier musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients. (Titles omitted)
Previously, the Metroline model was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
There were concerns about a decline in quality, as the Japanese-made Metroline models were highly regarded, but judging from the actual instrument, these concerns seem unfounded.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is Morado.
The pickups are original.
The preamp is a Sadowsky 2-band electronics unit.
Compared to the Japanese-made model, the neck feels slightly thinner, and there are differences in the curvature of the body joint.
The excellent electronics produce a powerful sound even with low string action.
Playability is also excellent, making this a product with high overall potential.
Generally, models with a PJ pickup layout can have balance issues when mixing.
Perhaps considering this, this model features a dedicated bridge pickup different from the JB model.
As exemplified by this point, this model does not seem to have been hastily put together, but rather features a carefully considered design.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. The string height is adjusted to 3.0mm-2.2mm due to the 1st string saddle dropping to its limit.
The body and paintwork show a scratch of about 1.5cm near the control knobs. There is a dent of about 0.5mm on the horn.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
