Atelier Z is a professional-grade bass brand widely loved by professional bassists both in Japan and internationally.
It's known that many prominent musicians, including Tomohito Aoki, KenKen, BOH, and JINO (titles omitted), use their basses.
The M#265 is the flagship M-series model and a signature model of Tomohito Aoki.
Based on the 1970s Fender Jazz Bass, it's a more modern development.
The body is made of ash, and the fingerboard is maple, a standard configuration for the brand.
The pickups have been replaced with Saymour Duncan SJB-5S.
The preamp is a Bartolini XTCT.
The bridge is an original Badass-type, and the tuning machines are GOTOH.
It boasts the brand's signature punchy low end and piercing high end.
This is a superb instrument that lets you experience the coveted slap sound. The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with scattered dents and scratches. There is a crack of about 20.0mm in the pickguard. Screw holes, likely for pickup fence mounting, are visible.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Saymour Duncan SJB-5S pickups.
